‘New Delhi : GCF on 31st December 2012 to 3rd January 2013 at New Delhi, India’

The New Delhi event was spread over 4 days and focused on some very poignant topics that are crucial to the further development of Global Society. True to the founding principles of GCF, the event had representatives of different religions advocating the need for tolerance in society. Since religion has a major role in identity creation- the speakers focused on the need for each religion to align itself to principle of ’One God’ for the creation of a more unified world order. The need for such a principle is magnified given the religious diversity in global cities on the planet. The event also focused on Asia as an emerging entrepreneurial and technological hub. Representatives from the field of economics and business were invited to outline the mantrasfor the success of Asian markets in the 21st century. The role of technology in changing mindsets to encourage new entrepreneurs was a key point of discussion. As a result of these discussions there was a call for action for the creation of a forum that provides a platform to resolve issues affecting society and highlight the successes of a particular region/field. The Global Citizen Forum movement was thus initiated by Dr. BK Modi to unite concerned citizens of the planet to find effective solutions to international problems for the creation of a cohesive world order.
