Tide to Go Instant Stain Remover

These easy to use pens take out stains pretty well, and as someone who seems to spill a lot of food on their clothing, I keep these handy wherever I go. You just push down to get some of the liquid out, then scrub it by kind of coloring on it with the clear liquid. Most stains come out pretty well. The only stain I know of that didn’t come out was turmeric.

I find that these pens can remove most or all of a stain about 9/10 times. It’s really dependent on the type of material you stain, what the stain is, and how long the stain has been sitting for. The best way to use it is to let the tide solution sit then blot the stain with water/wash the garment. Also put something absorbent underneath the material so the tide pen liquid doesn’t touch you or another part of your clothes. I have saved a lot of clothes with these pens, I normally keep one on me when I’m going out. Another way to use them is to whiten your shoes! Works super well, just do a little spot test first if you are worried about ruining a certain material. I have saved my beloved vans using a tide pen (removed clay stains)

Used an entire pen trying to get out spaghettie souse stain out as advertised and it did little to no use. save your money. The spot was smaller then a quarter and the shirt was white.

It definitely gets the stains out, which is why I am rating it five stars for quality. Value is at one star because I will never use it again, therefore it has no value to me. This stuff stinks! Within an hour of using it to remove a stain I now have the worst headache I have had in a long time. I am still wearing the shirt and am at work. I come to this website to try looking up any information I could find about warnings, specifically for a toxic smell. Now after taking two minutes to write this review, while this is still "fresh" on my mind, I am going home from work sick. All because of removing a stain from my shirt!

I got a little bit of soy sauce on my jeans and used the tide pen in a small area. The jeans are now completely faded in that spot and around it. The jeans were $250 and now they are ruined. This pen is supposed to work on colors and whites and not bleach your jeans. DO NOT BUY.

I had just bought a tan colored VANS brand hoodie and got a weird small black mark on it but didn’t have time to wash it so I attempted to use a tide pen and it literally removed the color from the fabric of the hoodie and left the stain . So now it’s worse than it was before. $65 hoodie ruined

Got a couple drips of the Mickey D’s breakfast burrito cheese on a new shirt. Stopped at Walmart, purchased the pen and applied. Stain’s still there and possibly some discoloration to my shirt. Hopefully Walmart’s return works better!

The stick has left white marks on my clothing. I tried adding water after it would dry and noticed a white mark and it wouldn’t disappear. I’ve washed my pants hoping it was just soap residue but my clothes is now ruined.

Look, this thing works like a DREAM at getting a spot off your clothes. But how often does that happen? So you put it in your purse until you need it. Then one evening you're having dinner at a nice restaurant and something drips on your blouse. So you reach for that pen you've been carrying around for just this reason. If it's been a while, even if it was brand new when you stowed it, it STINKS! I mean, it reeks. The spot is gone, but now you smell it the rest of the night and worry that others do too. That is seriously my only complaint, but it's kind of a big one. Look great and smell bad or smell nice and be embarrassed about food on your decolletage.

Out of nowhere it smells like vomit, STRONGLY, and I hadn't google before so I thought it was the fabric and just kept putting more and more to make it smell like tide. Help! Stains completely gone though, and it was bright red hot sauce on a white pillow.

So far today I have gotten to sriracha and enchilada sauce out of a light blue outfit. The only thing that I noticed that was wrong was that it smelled like poop. I've had this pen for maybe a year now. I remember a lady at work had one that was a little bit older and it smelled like poop too. I didn't see anything about an expiration date on there. Is there a reason for it to smell this way?? Other than that the product is absolutely amazing. I'm guessing after it ages it stink because when I first bought it and used it it did not smell. I did a quick Google search and some people compare it to vomit, but for me it's definitely poopy lol Can we figure out how to solve this stinky problem Tide?? This product is definitely a lifesaver and would hate not to be able to keep it for months for when I really need to use it because of the smell

These are awful they don’t get even most stains out. Even if it’s fresh It’s useless. I’ve had 3 and all of them have had the top just pop off and all the contents spill out! These suck for real I’d actually like to talk to corporate about this scam

These are amazing!! As a nanny, I keep two of these on me at all times. They get out the toughest stains like ketchup and mustard from white shirts.

It works good I like tacking everywhere invade I spill something in my cloths. It doesn’t come out completely but it helps by making it unnoticeable. Hen you apply it let it dry and you can’t see the stain. Maybe just a little bit. But I do recommend it it helps Sooo much.

This works! I keep them in my bag and in the kitchen, I even keep one in my car ! . Perfect for a splash when I’m cooking or eating, great in a restaurant when eating out and you accidentally drip something on you ! Worth the price since it saves your clothing from a stain. I buy the two pack ! I just rub it on a few times until the stain gets wet and lighter, then wash as normal when I get home, and I haven’t had a problem @with a stain since ;)

This stain remover is very good. It is easy to store. It does not last the long. Improvement to the cap for a tighter fit. It is affordable compared to other brands. I recommend for all clothes.

Absolutely love this. I’m constantly spilling things on myself or I’ll accidentally bump into something. I carry this in my purse, car, pretty much everywhere. However, I do think this product is over priced for how much you get.

I love the convenience of this product, I like to keep one in a purse in a bag that i carry in the car it fits everywhere super easy. Above that it works great for quick cleanup especially when you are out and have limited resources to clean. My mother used to send one with me to school just in case i got something on my clothes at school.

Does help get grease stains out of clothes when it happens to help release. But isn’t the best for ink stains at work.

I am devastated.... my $100 pants ruin. I leaked (woman problems) on one of my favorite pants. Usually with a feminine stain I just soak in cold water and it comes right out with a little soap and scrubbing. Well.. i leaked at work and happened to have tide pen handy. I used it immediately after leaking and it pushed the stain in and now I have a gross outline of the stain stuck on my pants. I am so upset. What a waste of money. Save the money and just take your clothes home to wash instead. It's going to be so expensive to replace my pants... just cause I thought i trusted tide.

I purchased a 2 pack of Tide To Go pens, one at home and one to carry in my purse. I have carried the one in my purse for a few weeks...I splattered a tiny spot on my shirt while cooking and ran to get my pen and applied it. Shortly after, I left smelling a rancid odor. I sniffed the area I applied the Tide To Go on my shirt and it smelled like VOMIT!! I then googled and found hundreds of the same.complaints. Apparently, they go bad after a few weeks! Who knew?? I will buy shout from now on! Horrible smell. I am shocked to learn this about a Tide product.

I had 4 small drips of butter hit my t-shirt. Since it is a Carhartt I don't want stains on it. I purchased one of these pens and have used it 3 times on the spots and it has not removed anything. I don't like giving products low ratings, but this truly isn't a good product.

These are the handiest things to have in the car or purse for someone who is always messy and spilling stuff! I would 1000% recommend having these.

Writing this review from a restaurant where I just spilled on my blouse. And I thought “I have to tell everyone about this product!”…. yeah I have my priorities straight lol. I have one of these scattered everywhere throughout my life; work, the car, my purse and all over the house. You don’t know how much you need this until you need it. Luckily I had it in my purse to get rid of the red sauce on my blouse!

I always carry this stick in my purse and it's a lifesaver!! I drove 2 hours to a baby shower, picked up food in a drive through on the way, and spilled mustard on the front of my dress! Was freaking out and then remembered my stain stick! It came out and was dry by the time I got there!

Good thing is it does remove stain and it is cost effective. Drawback is it can dry easily and not in use after certain times.

The Tide Pen works great for stains. No complaints there. The problem is when you don't use it a lot then open it up it smells like vomit. This smell stays on the clothing when applied. Tide needs to improve this because i don't want to smell. id rather have the stain!!

I purchased these a long time ago and kept in my purse unused, then I had a spot one a top and I could not get out it out. Then I remembered this little guy that I had been carrying around for such a long time and gave it a go. It came out so easily, when nothing else I had tried worked. I am beyond impressed and regret not trying it sooner.

I’m a clutz, so these are needed. These are great, if only I could remember to keep one with me at all times! It had gotten me out of of a stain or two a few times that I definitely wouldn’t have been able to remove later if I’d dealt with it after getting home.

I've used the Tide To Go pen for years due to it's convenient packaging, but lately realized it outperforms other stain removers. I just tried to remove liquid makeup from a white cloth shower curtain using several well-known products and finally pure bleach with no success. I then used the Tide pen and the stain is now gone. I am now keeping it on my washer to replace the other stain-specific removers. Amazing product!

This Tide To Go stain remover really does work well - I keep one in my purse and it does a good job removing the stain until you wash the clothing item. It doesn’t always remove the stain entirely right on the spot, usually you have to wash the piece of clothing as well.

I bought this stain removing tide pen because i had a stain on my shirt and needed to get it off. I tried everything i put it in the laundry, ii handwashed it, i soaked it then let it dry. Nothing worked. I tried this pen and it barely got it off you can still somewhat see the stain.

So this a great product to have on hand for when kid’s spill something on themselves. I bought this at Walmart for a few dollars. Still on the fence for if I really like it though.

I carry a tide stick with me at all times. I swear by them. Because I always have one handy my friends and family swear now by the stick because they’ve used it and it always works! I have a tendency to get spots of grease on my tops when cooking (probably need to wear an apron) but if I tide stick the spots (and yes, I just used “tide stick” as a verb) it won’t stain after I wash the top! I swear by tide sticks. My only wish is that they were a little less expensive.

I bought this for an old shirt with an old stain and had no expectations that it would work. It was only $1 in the Dollar Tree so I said "What the heck, give it try" and I couldn't believe it worked! It worked on an OLD spaghetti sauce stain that had been on the shirt for a few weeks and didn't discolor the shirt in any way.

The Tide To Go Instant Stain Remover Pen has been a lifesaver for me. I carry one with me at all times; you never know when an accident will happen. If I spill something on me, I quickly get out my Tide stain removing pen, and I press it so that the liquid comes out; then, I use the pen to rub out the stain. If you can get to just about any spot quickly enough, you can prevent it from becoming a stain. I recommend this product, and I will continue to purchase it.

When I’m in need of a quick fix for stains I always trust my tide pen. It’s portable and easy to use. This product is affordable and a great thing to have on you. I haven’t had the opportunity to try it on many different fabrics but it’s my go to for my T-shirts.

Maybe it’s just my luck but I have yet to find a good stain remover stick. Hopefully one day I’ll find a good one. Because i do love how discrete and small this is I can bring it with me everywhere

It's not a great product actually the tide pods work a lot better. It does help on some stains but on other it doesn't work. It's affordable butt I wouldn't recommend it.

I love my Tide to go stain remover I carry one in my truck one in my purse so anytime I might spill or something gets dumped on me I have my tides to go it’s affordable and I very much would recommend this. 

Spilled two tiny spots on a brand new $45 shirt so I used the tide stick and now the shirt is ruined. Now I have 2 white spots which will not come out. If I had only waited till I could put the shirt in the wash I’d still have a perfect shirt. Live with the spot till you get home. Don’t use the tide stick.

I love this clothes saver. As soon as get anything on my clothes I pull out my trusty little tide stick and start dabbing away. Most of the time it works right there and then, sometimes it needs to be sprayed again and washed. But getting the tide stick on it first definitely helps it. I always carry one in my purse.

Bought the pen on Thursday, used it on literally 6 articles clothing, it's now Saturday of the same week, just 2 days later the pen ran out! The item worked well on some stain like chocolate icecream, tomato sauce and soy sauce, but not on stains that have high fat content like breast milk (I'm a breastfeeding mother). Instead it left a ring on my dress.... I tried getting rid of it with hot water but it's still there, try steaming it, it's still there... Very worried that my dress maybe ruined, and very shocked that the pen only lasted 2 days!! Maybe I'm using it wrong?... But still, 2 days?!? That's WAY too fast!

These are a holy grail for me I make sure to keep one in my bag at all times. Once I was in Maui on my way to the airport and my husband spilled pasta sauce on his white shirt. Boy did this clean up so well was it it never happened. With that being said I totally recommend.

I actually used my trial size Tide To Go for the first time the other day. It works fairly well! I spill a few drops off coffee and applied the market, it nearly disappeared from my khakis and my red top!

This product is AMAZING!!!!! It's perfect for the little stains &/or the stains when your away from home!! Tonight I was vacuuming down on my knees & when I stood up I had a sticky spot on my knee. Even though it looked like grease, I'm not sure what it was, bc it smelled too. But, I couldn't stop vacuuming right away bc there was some glass on the floor and not only did I not wanna step on it, I couldn't let my dogs step on it. So I had to hurry & finish. By the time I got to go treat it several minutes have passed. But, I figured hey this will put the pen to the ultimate test. I only pressed the pen on the spot & did NOT rub it or anything & look you can barely see the spot! The spot was dark brown, very close to black. But, the it actually started to disappear before my eyes!! Once I rub the stain I'm positive the rest will come out! This product is well worth the money!! Can’t leave my house without it! This product has saved so many of my shirts in the past few years. I honestly don’t know why anyone wouldn’t buy this product, it is such a life saver!!

Does a good job removing unwanted stains from clothing. I usually leave it to sit for a few hours to make sure the detergent settles into the clothing and removes all stains. However i did on occasion have that some stains would not come out.

It’s a great idea that falls very short. I used these when i wore a white shirt and it actually made the stains WORSE. The liquid actually spreads the stain, even after dabbing up the excess stain causer. You use the tide pen, it spreads it out then you have a bigger stain than when you started. My tiny stain I was so worried about turned into the size of a golf ball and looked AWFUL. Washing with soap and water in a public bathroom was the only thing that helped me, so I wasted money on cr*p that doesn’t work.

So convenient for on the go and travel! I throw this into my suitcase on trips and it has saved me from stain angst on more than one occasion. The price is reasonable for how long it lasts. I definitely recommend- especially if you’re on the go or travel a lot like I do - and if you’re a messy eater sometimes.

I was laying in bed watching TV and I noticed I spilled my black cherry lemonade (dark purple) on my WHITE hoodie. I immediately grabbed my TTG and got it out. This sweatshirt was expensive so I'm so thankful it's not ruined. the only thing is there is still a wet spot where I used the pen because I can't put this sweatshirt through the wash. I love this pen!

Every time i use a tide stick, it gets the stain out, BUT it also bleaches the spot I used it on. I have used about 3 different tide sticks, so it’s not just one bad one. I hate these things, do not buy them. I have horrible bleach spots on some of my favorite shirts now.

I was expecting more out of this product as several people have told me how amazing it is but personally it didn’t work. It’s honestly just like rubbing the stain in and making it better and even after washing it still didn’t remove the stain or help the process of removing the stain

Tide to go is one of those things you didn't know you always needed until you get one. I keep one at work in my desk drawer and one in my travel bag. They work great, are super convenient and easy to use.

A small dark spot appeared on the white section of a new conforter. I did not want to wash the whole thing for one small spot, so I decided to try a tide to go pen. It worked wonderfully well, removed the spot and left no residue that I could detect.

No worries “Tide to Go Instant Stain Remover” will get that stain right out. One may need to go over the stain a few times but it’s worth the effort to save your favorite shirt. It doesn’t take up a lot of room, is easy to carry and simple to use, kind of like your 45.

I wore a brand new shirt to work for the 1st time and got mud on my mint green colored shirt. I used the pent to get the mud stain out and it did, however it bleached my shirt and now there is a big white circle. Brand new shirt ruined. So not only did i waste money on a brand new shirt, i wasted the money on buying the tide pen to go thinking it would help. I would not recommend this product at all.

This is really handy product to keep with you. When your out and about and get something on your clothes, you can pretreat the stain until you can get it into the actually wash. It will help to keep the stain from setting in.

Got three small-ish dark resin stains out of the hoodie I was wearing, treated it with TTG immediately, followed by washing machine cycle and there was no stain. Thank You Tide To Go! This hoodie was pricey and the last one that was made, I would have been SOL otherwise.

Never used the pen till we were recently on vacation in St Lucia. During dinner my husband spilled a small amount of gravy on an inexpensive linen shirt (white with some light plaid colors). Got back to the room and used the pen on the spot. Didn’t even add water to it...next day, we looked it over and could not find where the spill was! I was sold; glad we brought it with us on vacation.

I keep one of these in every purse. Luckily Costco sells them in a 5 pack! With kids it’s so easy to get stains on every article of clothing but this helps pre treat before washing and resolve stains while we’re not at home! Definitely recommend.

Appears to work, but really doesn’t. Leaves a weird smell and many times a yellowish tint to light colored clothes. The wipes are much better!

I used to swear by these and I still have one just about every where, but there is a product that seems to be better, which is why the -1 star. The other product is just sometimes hard to find (Shout Wipes).

Every morning when I wake up I brew myself a cup of coffee. On this particular day, I was wearing my brand new $100 shirt. I was so happy to show it off to everyone at work, but as I was drinking my coffee my dog jumped on me. I ended up spilling all my coffee. Most of it fell on the floor, but some got on my new shirt. I tried to dry it with paper towels immediately, but most of the stain was still there. I went upstairs to the laundry room where I grabbed my Tide To Go cleaner. It was my first time trying it and I was excited to see how it worked. I followed exactly what the directions told me to do, but when I finished I realized that all it did was make the stain moist. I was so disappointed because I wasn't going to be able to wear my shirt to work. I ended up having to change my shirt and then that night I put my $100 shirt in the wash. The good thing was that the tide pods worked and got the stain completely out. In conclusion, I would definitely not recommend getting Tide To Go, but I would definitely recommend Tide's detergent.

I always have these in my bags and desk drawers. Works really well for small stains or splashes.

One of my friends had spilled fruit juice on their light grey sweatpants, so immediately I pulled out my Tide stick. Later that day, they messaged me saying “THE STAIN IS GONE!!” So yes. This stuff DEFINITELY works.

When I first got my tide pen, I loved it! I tried it on a few stains and it worked great. However, I just got a new clothing item (never wore it, still had tags on) and it happened to get a stain. I was so excited I could use my tide pen to easily get it out but the ended up making a stain 4x the size of the original stain. Not happy with it

This doesn’t get all the stains for me but it is great to have in my purse whenever I’m working or going out. As a waitress, food splatters onto my uniform often, it is super easy to grab my stick, rub it in and continue on with my shift until I can get home to wash the clothes.

I seriously don't go anywhere without my tide stick. as long as I can attack a stain pretty soon after it happens, it's no match for this handy little guy. unfortunately it doesn't work as well on blood stains as it does on food stains.

The Tide pen is my go-to for the occasional food and beverage stains I have, which can occur a couple times a month. The Tide pen has lessen the appearance of coffee stains from white blouses, brown sauce practically disappear from slacks and jeans, and miraculously got the orange sauce stain out from a light colored blouse. I just dab so the chemical soaks a bit and rub back and forth...and the stain pretty much disappears disappears. It's not going to make the stain 100% invisible--there obviously will be a wet spot on the area where the Tide pen went, but overall it does a great job. It's small size is convenient to put pretty much anywhere. I have one in my purse, my office desk at work and in my car. They last a while too. This new set of 3 is the first set I bought in about a year, and that's averaging stain clean up twice a month or so, plus letting my occasional colleagues use them as well.I would recommend over any other on the go stain removers.

This is so convienet! It is not expensive at all and I have been using it for years! It helps so much when I am at school or at work and either spill something or realize that I have a stain.
