Tide Washing Machine Cleaner

Tide has been by HE go-to cleaner for years. Today I performed my routine cleaning cycle and was faced with excess sudds error codes. The machine was completely filled with sudds. It was quite an effort to remove the sudds and clean the machine. I am now left with multiple Tide cleaning packets at great personal expense. Be ware Tide has changed the formulation and excess sudds will render you HE machine useless.

This was my go to washing machine cleaner. No other product on the market could do what the tide product could do. Something has changed in the formulation and I don’t know longer can count on this being a quality product. I’ve run through three cycles using the new formulation and my washing machine still does not smell clean or fresh. Are used to open the packet and smell a strong and pleasant odor that would then be present after the washing machine was cleaned. Now there is no odor when I open the packet and my machine still has hint of mildew smell. Soooo disappointed. I stocked up on this product with 5 boxes and now they seem like a waste. I ended up just running diluted bleach through the machine to get it back to smelling clean.

I purchased this product first time around three years ago... excellent product. It kept my washer smelling good, and no present of suds found. Now, with my recent purchase at Amazon, it seemed like the quality went down. My washer smelled, a lot of residual suds were noticeable and the quality overall was bad. Not sure if Tide changed the ingredients, but the company should go back to its original formula. I'm using the remaining packets I have now, then looking for a new washer cleaner. Hopefully, Tide will go back to its original formula.

I used this in my front loader today and the smell is unbearable! It’s the middle of winter and we have the window open in the laundry room with a fan hopefully blowing the smell out! Hopefully we can sleeping our room tonight which is next to the laundry room!

I don't like the new and improved smell. With the older version you could smell it through the whole house. I can't smell this at all. This was the main reason I bought this product.

I used this at least twice a month. With two football players in the house, I do lots of laundry. Everything was great UNTIL they changed the scent. Now I cannot use it because I am allergic to flowery scents and that’s what they changed it to, It used to be a magnificent clean smell. I am begging Tide to either offer both scents or go back to the old scent. Or like a review said above do a free and clear. However, the original was perfect. Tide, you all have any of the old ones send them my way!! It really is a great product for my poor washer that goes non-stop.

I have used Tide Washing machine cleaner for many years and loved the cleaning abilities. Unfortunately they have taken the fresh s clean scent out of it and I really miss it . It basically deodorizer my whole house with a clean fresh smell. I wish Tide had made an unscented option instead of changing the one that worked so well. Disappointing for me. I will try and find a new product.

The old product worked great and smelled very clean. The new product makes so much suds I have to run the rinse cycle twice afterward to get it all out of my machine. Very frustrating.

I would recommend this product ONLY if the instructions stated using half the pouch, OR the pouches were smaller. I had to run four cycles to get rid of all the suds. I like the lack of smell that the old product had
